Kate Polk is a Board-Certified Mental Health Counselor (NCC), and Registered Mental Health Counselor- Intern (RMHC-I). As an Army Veteran and Military Spouse, Kate has a a genuine passion for serving and helping those who continue to serve- our Heroes (Active Duty , Veteran, and First Responders). She has strong practical knowledge and experience working with male and female clients in the areas of: Anxiety, Depression, Self-Worth/Self-Esteem, Self-Harm, Trauma (PTSD), Addiction/Substance Abuse. Kate's work in these areas extends to individuals and couples, adolescent to adult, men and women.
Her therapeutic approach is derived from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths Based practices; with the client’s story and goals as the foundation for which sessions and treatment are guided. Kate holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University, where she graduated with honors.
Kate's passion in serving the needs of others, while guiding, mentoring, and leading people to embrace a better way of life that is filled with joy and abundance continue to be core attributes of her professional identity since she began her professional career 20 years ago. She enjoys spending time outdoors exploring and adventuring through Florida’s natural landscapes with her husband, two children, and their two Rescue Pups, Ginger and Asher.
