Brian Murphy has been committed to serving in the area of social work and then therapy for the last sixteen years including group home management, South Florida child protective services, community-based counseling agencies and more recently in substance abuse treatment as both therapist and clinical director. He is currently in private practice in Wellington, FL with his wife Mariselle at Door of Hope Counseling, Inc.
Brian is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) having earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in the area of psychology and sociology and a master’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in mental health counseling. There, he also completed specialization in marriage and family therapy. Brian is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the trauma counseling approach of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), substance abuse treatments and integrating Christian spirituality within clinical treatment.
